SUMMARY

1. WHO IS PROCESSING YOUR DATA

We are My Tax Refund and we are the data controller of the personal data that you provide on the Platform and/or that we collect about you. This means that we are the company responsible for deciding how your data is processed.

My Tax Refund is a trading name of the data controller Wybe Media DMCC and provides products and services under various brands. Wybe Media DMCC registered office is; Unit 2C, Gold Tower, Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, UAE. Any reference made to “the business”, “we”, “us” and “our” refers to Wybe Media DMCC.

In order to match you to one of our service providers on the Platform, we need to send your personal data to the panel of UK based tax agents on our Platform. This is so that they can identify whether they can offer you their services. When those tax agent partners use your personal data to generate a response, each of them will be acting as a data controller of that personal data. This means that the tax agent partners are in charge of how they handle your data and we are not responsible for this. If you provide them with any additional data on their website the use of your data will be subject to that tax agent partner's own privacy policy which you should find on their website.

 

2. PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION

We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, register on the site, subscribe to the newsletter, fill in a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address, postal address and phone number, electronic identifiers (e.g. Internet Protocol (IP) address, or device ID, your browser and device operating system). We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. We will also obtain certain personal data about you from the tax agent partners on our panel if you undertake a tax review with them through our Platform. This will include information about whether or not you took out a review with the partner. We use this information to track sales as well as improve our Platform, our services and our customer journey. If there are any complaints or queries about your service, we and the relevant service provider(s) will also exchange information about the complaint or query to ensure it is appropriately investigated and dealt with.

 

3. NON-PERSONAL IDENTIFICATION INFORMATION

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about how the User connects to our Site, such as the operating system and the internet service provider they use and other similar information.

This can include information such as how many , mouse clicks/taps, mouse movements, page scrolling and text entered into forms which we collect through software which monitors how customer use our Platform. This helps us to monitor the service we provide to you, to design improvements to our products and services (including changes to our Platform), to personalise our marketing communications as further explained and to help us to prevent and detect fraud.

 

4.WHERE DO WE GET THE DATA FROM

Most of the data that we process will be data that we collect from you directly when you request a tax review. We will ask you various questions to collect the data we need for the purpose of offering relevant service information. We will not be able to provide a recommendation unless you answer the mandatory questions.

If you use our webchat service we will keep a record of the conversation. We do this so that we have an accurate record of your conversation with us. We also use this data for monitoring and quality control purposes and may use it for training purposes.

We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above. We may use third party service providers to help us operate our business or administer activities on our behalf, such as sending out newsletters or surveys. We may share your information with these third parties for those limited purposes provided that you have given us your permission.

 

9.MARKETING

Sending you marketing communications

When you provide your details you will be given an opportunity to confirm whether you are happy to receive marketing material from us. If you confirm you are happy to receive this material, we will use your postal address, email address and telephone number to send you marketing materials by post, email, telephone call or SMS. We do not pass your data to other companies for their own marketing purposes.
